The Beginning Of Winter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGG

Now are the trees all ruefully bereftA
Of their brave liveries of green and goldB
No shred of all their pleasant raiment leftA
To shield them from the wind and nipping coldB
Now is the grass all withered up and deadC
And shrouded in its cerement of the snowD
Now the enfeebled Sun goes soon to bedC
And rises late and carries his head lowD
-
Now is the night magnificent to viewE
When the Queen Moon appears with cloudless browF
Now are our spirits cleans'd and born anewE
In the clear quickening atmosphere and nowF
We re make home and find our hearts' desireG
In common talk before the cheerful fireG
