Success Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABAAAA ACACDD

What is success In mad soul suicideA
The world's vain spoils rapaciously to seizeB
To pamper the base appetite of prideA
And live a lord in luxury and easeB
Is this success whereof so many prateA
To have the Midas touch that turns to goldA
Earth's common blessings to accumulateA
And in accumulation to grow oldA
-
Nay but to see and undertake with zestA
The good most in agreement with our powersC
To strive if need be for the second bestA
But still to strive and glean the golden hoursC
With eyes for nature and a mind for truthD
And the brave loving joyous heart of youthD
