Montreal Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCBDDBEEB

Written in WinterA
-
By thee fair City is Mount Royal basedB
Which though its inward fires are extinctC
Seems in the flush of morning indistinctC
When misty shadows are across it chasedB
Over its flaky bosom pure and whiteD
Which glows and glistens in the early lightD
Seems moved with passion 'Neath it thou art tracedB
In winter's jewelled brilliancy arrayedE
With sparkling spire and glassy dome displayedE
A gem wrought girdle on a maiden's waistB
