Canada, My Land Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDBC EDFDCDC GCHCCCC CICIDIC

There may be more enchanting climesA
Within a southern zoneB
There may be eastern Edens decktC
With charms to thee unknownB
But thou art fairest unto meD
Because thou art mine ownB
Canada my landC
-
More spacious plains and loftier heightsE
In other realms may beD
And mightier streams than those which bearF
Thy waters to the seaD
But thou great handiwork of GodC
Art grandest unto meD
Canada my landC
-
More glorious records may adornG
The annals of the pastC
Than those which tell the rise and growthH
Of thy dominion vastC
But I am proudest of the landC
In which my lot is castC
Canada my landC
-
Beneath thy green or snow clad sodC
My fathers' ashes lieI
Thou hast my all to thee I'm boundC
By every dearest tieI
For thee I'll gladly live for theeD
I cheerfully would dieI
Canada my landC
