| With ringing sound of full melodious horn | B |

| Her sickle gleaming in the golden morn | B |
| Her arm upraised with sheaf of yellow corn | B |
| She comes elate with light elastic pace | C |
| Her neck and zone full clustered vines adorn | B |
| Her saffron locks fruit crowned her luscious grace | C |
| Her round and ripened form her fair benignant face | C |
| - | |
| And now the fields when suns serenely greet | D |
| A rich and mellow wanton joy afford | E |
| The russet pease vines and the burnished wheat | D |
| And whiter barley hating to be stored | E |
| Guarding with jealous spears their precious hoard | E |
| The tapering oat stalk dangling beads of gold | F |
| In brilliant sea of beauty all outpoured | F |
| With dazzling depth of splendor all untold | F |
| Where fleets of zephyrs skip in fold that follows fold | F |
| - | |
| Like to a dream I had but yesternight | F |
| Of pure transporting childlike playfulness | G |
| The presence of a fair haired blue eyed bright | F |
| Thoughtless and laughing Words can not express | H |
| In poet phrase the fulness that did bless | H |
| Entrancingly my vision I advanced | F |
| Behind to worship Straight each golden tress | H |
| Was ruffled and about my face they danced | F |
| Smoth'ring with beauty while the maiden gleeful glanced | F |
