Before Harvest Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

And now 'tis time for Harvest Hark and loA
With ringing sound of full melodious hornB
Over yon eastern hill top all aglowA
Her sickle gleaming in the golden mornB
Her arm upraised with sheaf of yellow cornB
She comes elate with light elastic paceC
Her neck and zone full clustered vines adornB
Her saffron locks fruit crowned her luscious graceC
Her round and ripened form her fair benignant faceC
-
And now the fields when suns serenely greetD
A rich and mellow wanton joy affordE
The russet pease vines and the burnished wheatD
And whiter barley hating to be storedE
Guarding with jealous spears their precious hoardE
The tapering oat stalk dangling beads of goldF
In brilliant sea of beauty all outpouredF
With dazzling depth of splendor all untoldF
Where fleets of zephyrs skip in fold that follows foldF
-
Like to a dream I had but yesternightF
Of pure transporting childlike playfulnessG
The presence of a fair haired blue eyed brightF
Thoughtless and laughing Words can not expressH
In poet phrase the fulness that did blessH
Entrancingly my vision I advancedF
Behind to worship Straight each golden tressH
Was ruffled and about my face they dancedF
Smoth'ring with beauty while the maiden gleeful glancedF
