Or deem her strength partaker of decayB
Or think her trumpet voices fail To dayB
I saw a man who was a man of GodA
His feet with gospel preparation shodA
The Spirit's quick and mighty weapon swayB
I heard him faithfully point out the wayB
To him familiar which the Master trodA

Intrepid patient follower of the LordA
While such as thou obedient to His callC
Living epistles known and read of allC
Proclaim the wonders of His sacred WordA
No sound of lamentation should be heardA
No shade of apprehension should appalC
