Ecstasy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDE FGHIJ KLMNO PQIBR MFSTU VWBXI YZA2CV

I saw a frieze on whitest marble drawnA
Of boys who sought for shells along the shoreB
Their white feet shedding pallor in the seaC
The shallow sea the spring time sea of greenD
That faintly creamed against the cold smooth pebblesE
-
The air was thin their limbs were delicateF
The wind had graven their small eager handsG
To feel the forests and the dark nights of AsiaH
Behind the purple bloom of the horizonI
Where sails would float and slowly melt awayJ
-
Their naked pure and grave unbroken silenceK
Filled the soft air as gleaming limpid waterL
Fills a spring sky those days when rain is lyingM
In shattered bright pools on the wind dried roadsN
And their sweet bodies were wind purifiedO
-
One held a shell unto his shell like earP
And there was music carven in his faceQ
His eyes half closed his lips just breaking openI
To catch the lulling mazy coralline roarB
Of numberless caverns filled with singing seasR
-
And all of them were hearkening as to singingM
Of far off voices thin and delicateF
Voices too fine for any mortal windS
To blow into the whorls of mortal earsT
And yet those sounds flowed from their grave sweet facesU
-
And as I looked I heard that delicate musicV
And I became as grave as calm as stillW
As those carved boys I stood upon that shoreB
I felt the cool sea dream around my feetX
My eyes were staring at the far horizonI
-
And the wind came and purified my limbsY
And the stars came and set within my eyesZ
And snowy clouds rested upon my shouldersA2
And the blue sky shimmered deep within meC
And I sang like a carven pipe of musicV
