The Daisy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DDEECCFF GG

An angel found a daisy where it layA
On Heaven's highroad of transparent goldB
And turning to one near he said I prayA
Tell me what manner of strange bloom I holdB
You came a long long way perchance you knowC
In what far country such fair flowers blowC
-
Then spoke the other Turn thy radiant faceD
And gaze with me down purple depth of spaceD
See where the stars lie spilled upon the nightE
Like amber beads that hold a yellow lightE
Note one that burns with faint yet steady glowC
It is the Earth and there these blossoms growC
Some little child from that dear distant landF
Hath borne this hither in his dimpled handF
-
Still gazed he down Ah friend he said I tooG
Oft crossed the fields at home where daisies grewG
