Kismet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB CDCD AEAE AFGF AHFH

Love came to her unsoughtA
Love served her many waysB
And patiently Love followed herC
Throughout the nights and daysB
-
Love spent his life for herC
And hid his tears and sighsD
He bartered all his soul for herC
With tender pleading eyesD
-
Her scarlet mouth that smiledA
Mocked lightly at his woeE
And while she would not bid him stayA
She did not bid him goE
-
But hope within him failedA
Until he pled no moreF
And cold and still he turned his faceG
Away from her heart's doorF
-
-
-
Long were the days she watchedA
For one who never cameH
Through sleepless nights her white lips boreF
The burden of a nameH
