In Solitude Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD CECE BFBF

He is not desolate whose ship is sailingA
Over the mystery of an unknown seaB
For some great love with faithfulness unfailingA
Will light the stars to bear him companyB
-
Out in the silence of the mountain passesC
The heart makes peace and liberty its ownD
The wind that blows across the scented grassesC
Bringing the balm of sleep comes not aloneD
-
Beneath the vast illimitable spacesC
Where God has set His jewels in arrayE
A man may pitch his tent in desert placesC
Yet know that heaven is not so far awayE
-
But in the city in the lighted cityB
Where gilded spires point toward the skyF
And fluttering rags and hunger ask for pityB
Grey Loneliness in cloth of gold goes byF
