It isn’t my fault, to be black,
And that doesn’t make me any lesser,
I’m just like you,
I can do the same as you,
Just give me a chance,
Don’t judge,
Because am black,
You canceled my name,
You looked down at me,
Before I met you, I wanted to be like you,
The good words about you,
Made me adore you,
Ironically you shocked me,
Because am black,
But didn’t you give me a chance,
Do you think my heart is black?
Or my brain, covered with a black cloud?
But how did you know?
When I never proved to you,
Because am black,
Hope my words will get to you,
Because I can’t use my tongue,
I wish you don’t through it away,
Just read through,
Maybe you’ll understand,
Because am black.
