Then the clash o' her tongue's begunD
Warslin' steerin' wi' hens an' swineF
Naucht kens she o' a freend o' mineF
But the Gowk that bides i' the woods o' DunD
He kens him fineF
-
Past the yaird an' ahint the styeG
O the aipples grow bonnilieH
Tib my auntie she canna' spyI
Wha comes creepin' to kep wi' meA
Aye she'd sort him for dod she's fellH
Whisht nou Jimmie an' hide yersel'H
