Frostbound Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG HIHJ KLKL MNMN

When winter's pulse seems dead beneath the snowA
And has no throb to giveB
Warm your cold heart at mine beloved and soA
Shall your heart liveC
-
For mine is fire a furnace strong and redD
Look up into my eyesE
There shall you see a flame to make the deadD
Take life and riseE
-
My eyes are brown and yours are still and greyF
Still as the frostbound lakeG
Whose depths are sleeping in the icy swayF
And will not wakeG
-
Soundless they are below the leaden skyH
Bound with that silent chainI
Yet chains may fall and those that fettered lieH
May live againJ
-
Yes turn away grey eyes you dare not faceK
In mine the flame of lifeL
When frost meets fire 'tis but a little spaceK
That ends the strifeL
-
Then comes the hour when breaking from their bandsM
The swirling floods run freeN
And you beloved shall stretch your drowning handsM
And cling to meN
