Disillusion Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCB DEDFCE GBGEEB HCHCBC

I wrote the burning words to youA
That meant so much to meB
I sent them speeding straight to youA
To you across the seaB
I waited with sure reckoningC
For your reply to meB
-
I waited and the counted dayD
Fruitlessly came and wentE
I made excuse for the delayD
Pitiable confidentF
I knew to morrow's light must bringC
The words you must have sentE
-
And still I stand on that dim vergeG
And look across the seaB
The waves have changed into a dirgeG
Their volubilityE
And in my disillusioned heartE
Is a little grave for meB
-
But still with shaded eyes I gazeH
As mournfully I singC
And one by one the trailing daysH
As they no message bringC
Fall with their slow monotonyB
As beads fall from a stringC
