True People chant gladly the dawnG
At even raise song at mornG
After labour sweet singing should beE
Laugh for the century o'erthrownG
Sing love in a tender toneG
And loudlier chant libertyE

Chant Italy sacred and sweetE
Poor Poland slain sons at her feetE
Naples whose heart blood outpoursB
Hungary the Russian's base vauntE
O tyrants the People doth chantE
Even as the lion roarsB
