June Nights Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD DEDF

In summer when day has fled the plain covered with flowersA
Pours out far away an intoxicating scentB
Eyes shut ears half open to noisesC
We only half sleep in a transparent slumberD
-
The stars are purer the shade seems pleasanterD
A hazy half day colours the eternal domeE
And the sweet pale dawn awaiting her hourD
Seems to wander all night at the bottom of the skyF
