Rhyme Scheme: A AABBCCDDAAEFAA

OPERA OF 'ESMERALDA ' ACT IVA
-
-
Phoebus is there not this side the graveA
Power to saveA
Those who're loving Magic balmB
That will restore to me my former calmB
Is there nothing tearful eyeC
Can e'er dry or hush the sighC
I pray Heaven day and nightD
As I lay me down in frightD
To retake my life or giveA
All again for which I'd liveA
Phoebus hasten from the shining sphereE
To me hereF
Hither hasten bring me Death then LoveA
May let our spirits rise ever linked aboveA
