All Winged Creatures I Have Loved Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAAAABBCD

All the winged creatures I have lovedA
And when a child I 'neath the thicket rovedA
I from their nests the little birds conveyedA
At first of reeds I cages for them madeA
Where mid green mosses I to tame them triedA
Later I used to leave the windows wideA
They flew not off or if the woods their choiceB
Still they returned whene'er they heard my voiceB
A dove and I long lived in friendlinessC
Now I the art of taming souls possessD
