The Candle She Claimed Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD EEFF GGHH IIJJ

A child was left her parents goneA
Raised in a house where love was withdrawnA
No gentle hands no birthday cheerB
Just silence echoing year by yearB
-
Relatives kept her but hearts were coldC
Stories of kindness were never toldC
She learned to shrink to hide her painD
To walk through shadows through endless rainD
-
No candles lit no songs to singE
No gifts no joy no golden ringE
Her birthdays vanished lost in timeF
Forgotten verses unsung rhymeF
-
But at twenty four she stood aloneG
With strength she d gathered fully grownG
She bought a cake she lit the flameH
And whispered softly her own nameH
-
I matter now I claim my placeI
I rise with courage I live with graceI
No crowd no choir no borrowed handJ
I celebrate what I withstandJ
