| Regret may cling and sorrow stay | D |
| yet still you breathe though night is gray | D |

| You miss the ones you cannot keep | E |
| their echoes haunt their voices seep | E |
| And still the silence bids you rest | F |
| to sit with grief to be confessed | F |

| Not every wound is meant to mend | G |
