Her Own Way Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCC DDEE FFGH IIJJ KKLL

She walked where grasses touched her kneesA
The sky above was calm and freeB
A tiny moon a breeze so kindC
She left the noisy world behindC
-
They told her Don t be bold or loudD
Stay quiet fit in with the crowdD
But in her heart a voice would sayE
You have the right to choose your wayE
-
She tried to please she tried to bendF
But felt so lost it wouldn t endF
Until the wind began to singG
You re free to live to laugh to dreamH
-
It s your own life so make it shineI
No need to ask for some old signI
Let go of guilt let joy beginJ
Be true to you and grow withinJ
-
She smiled and stood with open eyesK
No longer chasing others skiesK
She danced beneath the moon so smallL
And lived her life her life her allL
