Guard Your Tongue Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABC DDEE FFGG

If you did not see with your eyesA
nor hear with your ears let silence be wiseA
Don t twist a tale from a fleeting thoughtB
nor spread a fire that truth has not caughtC
-
A careless word can cut like a knifeD
a rumor can ruin the rhythm of lifeD
So guard your tongue let honesty stayE
and keep false shadows far awayE
-
Speak what is real let kindness bloomF
don t plant deceit that leads to gloomF
For trust is built when words are trueG
and the world will listen more to youG
