Empty Sermons Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCC DDEE FGHH IIJJ

Stop preaching words you do not liveA
A hollow tongue no heart to giveB
You speak of God yet kindness diesC
Your voice a mask your soul in liesC
-
Stop raising hands in holy claimD
While cruelty burns beneath the nameD
For love is more than verse or prayerE
It breathes in deeds in how we careE
-
Stop preaching light with shadowed heartF
Where mercy fades and truth departsG
The word of God is not a stageH
But living grace not wrath or rageH
-
So let your actions be the proofI
Of love that stands beneath the roofI
For sermons fall like ash aboveJ
If inside you don t know what s loveJ
