“How long is the road?” the weary man sighed,
“As long as life itself,” the wise one replied.
We chase each hour, we chase each day,
Trading our moments for a fleeting pay.
We toil and sweat for a prize unseen,
A privilege promised, yet seldom gleaned.
While the sun sets softly, and the winds sigh,
We miss the journey, asking only “Why?”
The road stretches endless, beneath our feet,
Not in the goal, but in the steps we meet.
Pause, breathe, let the moments align,
Life is the road—and the road is thine.

Poet's note: A weary traveler, burdened by the routine of work and the constant chase for wealth and success, pauses on a long and winding road. He asks a wise guide, “How long is this road?” and is told, “As long as life itself.”
As he journeys forward, he meets people who live differently—some obsessed with achievements, others savoring simple joys. He witnesses sunsets, feels the wind, and realizes that while he has been focused on distant goals, he has missed the richness of the present moments.
Through reflection, he understands that life is not measured by prizes or milestones, but by each step, each experience, and the awareness of being present. The road stretches endlessly, but it is his own to walk, and the journey itself is the treasure.
