And oaks bear dates very plenteouslyD
And kisks give of honey superfluenceF

When box bear paper in every land and townG
And thistles bear berries in every placeF
And pikes have naturally feathers in their crownG
And bulls of the sea sing a good bassF
And men be the ships fishes traceF
And in women be found no insipienceF
Then put them in trust and confidenceF

When whitings do walk forests to chase hartsF
And herrings their horns in forests boldly blowD
And marmsets mourn in moors and lakesF
And gurnards shoot rooks out of a crossbowD
And goslings hunt the wolf to overthrowD
And sprats bear spears in armes of defenceF
Then put women in trust and confidenceF

When swine be cunning in all points of musicH
And asses be doctors of every scienceF
And cats do heal men by practising of physicH
And buzzards to scripture give any credenceF
And merchants buy with horn instead of groats and penceF
And pyes be made poets for their eloquenceF

When sparrows build churches on a heightI
And wrens carry sacks unto the millD
And curlews carry timber houses to dightI
And fomalls bear butter to market to sellD
And woodcocks bear woodknives cranes to killD

And be take with swifts and snailsF
And camels in the air take swallows and larksF
And mice move mountains by wagging of their tailsF
And shipmen take a ride instead of sailsF
And when wives to their husbands do no offenceF

When antelopes surmount eagles in flightI
And swans be swifter than hawks of the towerJ
And wrens set gos hawks by force and mightI
And muskets make verjuice of crabbes sourJ
And ships sail on dry land silt give flowerJ
And apes in Westminster give judgment and sentenceF
