Nursery Rhyme. Lxvii. Tales Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABCCB DDAEFA GGAHHA

My lady Wind my lady WindA
Went round about the house to findA
A chink to get her foot inB
She tried the key hole in the doorC
She tried the crevice in the floorC
And drove the chimney soot inB
-
And then one night when it was darkD
She blew up such a tiny sparkD
That all the house was potheredA
From it she raised up such a flameE
As flamed away to Belting LaneF
And White Cross folks were smotheredA
-
And thus when once my little dearsG
A whisper reaches itching earsG
The same will come you'll findA
Take my advice restrain the tongueH
Remember what old nurse has sungH
Of busy lady WindA
