-
Three children sliding on the iceB
Upon a summer's dayC
As it fell out they all fell inD
The rest they ran awayC

Now had these children been at homeE
Or sliding on dry groundF
Ten thousand pounds to one pennyA
They had not all been drown'dF
-
You parents all that children haveG
And you that have got noneH
If you would have them safe abroadI
Pray keep them safe at homeE
