Ecco Mormorar L'onde (now The Waves Murmur) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAACCBBCCCC D CBEFBGHBIJKCKA

Ecco mormorar l'ondeA
E tremolar le frondeA
A l'aura mattutina e gli arboscelliB
E sovra i verdi rami i vaghi augelliB
Cantar soavementeA
E rider l'OrienteA
Ecco gi l'alba appareC
E si specchia nel mareC
E rasserena il cieloB
E le campagne imperla il dolce geloB
E gli alti monti indoraC
O bella e vaga AuroraC
L'aura tua messaggera e tu de l'auraC
Ch'ogni arso cor ristauraC

TranslationD
-
Now the waves murmurC
And the boughs and the shrubs trembleB
in the morning breezeE
And on the green branches the pleasant birdsF
Sing softlyB
And the east smilesG
Now dawn already appearsH
And mirrors herself in the seaB
And makes the sky sereneI
And the gentle frost impearls the fieldsJ
And gilds the high mountainsK
O beautiful and gracious AuroraC
The breeze is your messenger and you the breeze'sK
Which revives each burnt out heartA
