Wrought-iron Stairs Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIJ KLML NOPO O

Standing alone in a rain filled poolA
Derived from a storm driven cloudB
Staring my reflections staring back at meC
Talking to my dreams and secrets vowedB
-
Your tear full words to cleanse my soulD
Awaiting His mystical answers to partE
For in His hands shall my fate unfoldF
To witness these dreams that break my heartE
-
My life s now a book of missing pagesG
That ripple in waters reflecting eyesH
Locked behind cold mindless cagesI
Calling from the debts of ocean tidesJ
-
Innocent dreams of times rememberedK
Points to those wrought iron stairsL
Innocent minds like burning embersM
Close the eyes that hold back tearsL
-
Carved initials on a dreary classroom deskN
The mark of a young child s troubled timesO
Yet smiles in the eyes of his dreamed requestP
To win o er his masters unmeasured crimesO
