Creating dreams on hardened clay | A |
Of days that were but never again | B |
Of long forgotten times and loves forgotten pain | C |

Nobody feels the imperfections I feel | D |
And nobody dreams the nightmares I dream | E |
For each day that passes another begins | F |
With life s burning candle no happiness it brings | G |

As the half light of sunlight slowly creeps to full light | H |
Breaking through that early morning cry | I |
Reflecting on the sunflowers hibernating night | H |
As the metamorphosis caterpillar turns to butterfly | I |

If destitution be my fate | J |
Then leave me surrender at nature s gate | J |
To explore my memories of wooden toys and wind up trains | K |
Of bright sunny days and drenching rains | K |

So please just walk away and leave me to my dreams | L |
Of childhood days of pranks and schemes | L |
Of jack stones beehives and old pedal cars | M |
Crayons spiders and millions of stars | M |

To count these stars I m never alone | N |
For they are the roof to my new home | O |
With the moon my light if more I doubt | P |
So I ll rest here and wonder | Q |
