Remembering, Times Of Camelot Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCD EEFF GHIJ KLMNN OPCQC QQRR

Across deep waters and unforgiving tidesA
Like a limpets refusal to move asideB
Clinging the taffrail of imaginary lifeC
Inhaling without future like a stoic waifD
-
As endorphins circulate this enigmatic mindE
Deficient in purpose struggling to unwindE
While marram grass holds the sand dunes of hopeF
So our fingers are crossed the inevitable to copeF
-
We were but witness to your strengths remaining daysG
And could only dream on what you re seeingH
Was it practicing pages from unknown stage plays orI
Stained glass church frames penny candles dancing flamesJ
-
As winter months awaken from dormant care whileK
Standing beneath this litch gate with moistened eyes to bearL
I will wait until you part and all the stars I see loose heartM
And cloths of dampened tears to dryN
Return each year to question WhyN
-
Inscriptions chiselled on a white marble plaqueO
Gold letters reserved for our Makers markP
My dreams appear scattered amongst the debris of lifeC
Parading with masquerading smilesQ
A consequence of inner strifeC
-
You gifted me your unused smilesQ
Tantalising moments of dissimulated filesQ
Accepting closure of a world I know notR
Broken heart s remembering Times of CamelotR
