Sanctuary Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBA ACAACA| How may one hold these days of wonderment | A |
| And bind them into stillness with a thong | B |
| Ere as a fleeting dream they pass along | B |
| Into the waste of lovely things forspent | A |
| How may one keep what the Great Powers have sent | A |
| The prayers fulfilled more beautiful and strong | B |
| Than any thought could fashion into song | B |
| Of all the rarest harmonies inblent | A |
| - | |
| There is an Altar where they may be laid | A |
| And sealed in Faith within Its sacred care | C |
| Here they are safe unto the very end | A |
| For these are of the things that never fade | A |
| Brought from the City that is built four square | C |
| The gifts of Him who is the Perfect Friend | A |
