Rhyme Scheme: ABACCDEEDFGGHBB IJJKLLKKKAA KKDDKMMNNKOOPP

SpringA
And all our valleys turning into greenB
RememberingA
As I remember So my heart turns gladC
For so much youth and joy this to have hadC
When in my veins the tide of living fireD
Was at its flowE
This to knowE
When now the miracle of young desireD
Burns on the hills and Spring's sweet choristers againF
Chant from each tree and every bush aflameG
Love's wondrous nameG
This under youth's glad reignH
With all the valleys turning into greenB
This to have heard and seenB
-
And SongI
Once to have known what every wakened birdJ
Has heardJ
Once to have entered into that great harmonyK
Of love's creation and to feelL
The pulsing waves of wonder stealL
Through all my being once to beK
In that same seaK
Of wakened joy that stirs in every treeK
And every bird and then to singA
To sing aloud the endless Song of SpringA
-
Waiting I turn to TheeK
Expectant humble and on bended kneeK
Youth's radiant fireD
Only to burn at Thy unknown desireD
For this alone has Song been granted meK
Upon Thy altar burn me at Thy willM
All wonders fillM
My cup and it is ThineN
Life's precious wineN
For this alone for TheeK
Yet never can be paidO
The debt long laidO
Upon my heart because my lips did pressP
In youth's glad Spring the Cup of LovelinessP
