The Bugle Call Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDDEEA ABFGCCCCA ABHCIICCA J

Do you hear the call of our MotherA
From over the sea from over the seaB
The call to her children in every landC
To her sons on Afric's far stretch'd veldtC
To her dark skinned children on India's shoreD
Whose souls are nourish'd on Aryan loreD
To her sons of the Northland where frosty starsE
Glitter and shine like a helmet of MarsE
Do you hear the call of our MotherA
-
Do you hear the call of our MotherA
From over the sea from over the seaB
The call to Australia's legions strongF
That move with the might and stealth of a waveG
To the men of the camp and men of the fieldC
Whose courage has taught them never to yieldC
To the men whose counsel has saved the StateC
And thwarted the plans of impending fateC
Do you hear the call of our MotherA
-
Do you hear the call of our MotherA
From over the sea from over the seaB
To the little cot on the wind swept hillH
To the lordly mansion in the city streetC
To her sons who toil in the forest deepI
Or bind the sheaves where the reapers reapI
To her children scattered far East and WestC
To her sons who joy in her Freedom BlestC
Do you hear the call of our MotherA
