To The Right Honorable The Lord S. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAB CAAC CDCD AE

Pardon sweete flower of Matchles poetrieA
And fairest bud the red rose euer bareA
Although my Muse devorst from deeper careA
Presents thee with a wanton ElegieB
-
Ne blame my verse of loose unchastitieC
For painting forth the things that hidden areA
Since all men acte what I in speache declareA
Onlie induced with varietieC
-
Complants and praises euery one can writeC
And passion out their pangu's in statlie rimesD
But of loues pleasures none did euer writeC
That have succeeded in theis latter timesD
-
Accept of it Deare Lord in gentle greeA
And better lynes ere long shall honor theeE
