Spring Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAB CCCB DEDBA

Spring the sweet Spring is the year's pleasant kingA
Then blooms each thing then maids dance in a ringA
Cold doth not sting the pretty birds do singA
Cuckoo jug jug pu we to witta wooB
-
The palm and may make country houses gayC
Lambs frisk and play the shepherds pipe all dayC
And we hear aye birds tune this merry layC
Cuckoo jug jug pu we to witta wooB
-
The fields breathe sweet the daisies kiss our feetD
Young lovers meet old wives a sunning sitE
In every street these tunes our ears do greetD
Cuckoo jug jug pu we to witta wooB
Spring the sweet SpringA
