Poem 2 From Pierce Penilesse Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDDCEFGFDD

Perusing yesternight with idle eyesA
The Fairy Singers stately tuned verseB
And viewing after Chap mens wonted guiseA
What strange contents the title did rehearseB
I streight leapt ouer to the latter endC
Where like the queint Com dians of our timeD
That when their Play is doone do fal to rymeD
I found short lines to sundry Nobles pendC
Whom he as speciall Mirrours singled fourthE
To be the Patrons of his PoetryF
I read them all and reuerenc't their worthG
Yet wondred he left out thy memoryF
But therefore gest I he supprest thy nameD
Because few words might not co m prise thy fameD
