The Tomb Of Love Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABAAAA CDCDEFEF AGAGHIHJ

By the mossy weed flowered columnA
Where the setting moonbeam's glanceB
Streams a radiance cold and solemnA
On the haunts of old romanceB
Know'st thou what those shafts betokenA
Scattered on that tablet loneA
Where the ivory bow lies brokenA
By the monumental stoneA
-
When true knighthood's shield neglectedC
Mouldered in the empty hallD
When the charms that shield protectedC
Slept in death's eternal thrallD
When chivalric glory perishedE
Like the pageant of a dreamF
Love in vain its memory cherishedE
Fired in vain the minstrel's themeF
-
Falsehood to an elvish minionA
Did the form of Love impartG
Cunning plumed its vampire pinionA
Avarice tipped its golden dartG
Love the hideous phantom flyingH
Hither came no more to roveI
There his broken bow is IyingH
On that stone the tomb of LoveJ
