Rosalind's Madrigal Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDCA AEAEFFFFA GHGHIIIIA JKJKAAAAA

Love in my bosom like a beeA
Doth suck his sweetB
Now with his wings he plays with meA
Now with his feetB
Within mine eyes he makes his nestC
His bed amidst my tender breastC
My kisses are his daily feastD
And yet he robs me of my restC
Ah wanton will yeA
-
And if I sleep the percheth heA
With pretty flightE
And makes his pillow of my kneeA
The livelong nightE
Strike I my lute he tunes the stringF
He music plays if so I singF
He lends me every lovely thingF
Yet cruel he my heart doth stingF
Whist wanton still yeA
-
Else I with roses every dayG
Will whip you henceH
And bind you when you long to playG
For your offenceH
I'll shut mine eyes to keep you inI
I'll make you fast it for your sinI
I'll count your power not worth a pinI
Alas what hereby shall I winI
If he gainsay meA
-
What if I beat the wanton boyJ
With many a rodK
He will repay me with annoyJ
Because a godK
Then sit thou safely on my kneeA
Then let thy bower my bosom beA
Lurk in mine eyes I like of theeA
O Cupid so thou pity meA
Spare not but play theeA
