The Forsaken Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFGHIJIKLMLNOPO

The dead are in their silent gravesA
And the dew is cold aboveB
And the living weep and sighC
Over dust that once was loveB
Once I only wept the deadD
But now the living cause my painE
How couldst thou steal me from my tearsF
To leave me to my tears againG
My Mother rests beneath the sodH
Her rest is calm and very deepI
I wish'd that she could see our lovesJ
But now I gladden in her sleepI
Last night unbound my raven locksK
The morning saw them turned to grayL
Once they were black and well belovedM
But thou art changed and so are theyL
The useless lock I gave thee onceN
To gaze upon and think of meO
Was ta'en with smiles but this was tornP
In sorrow that I send to theeO
