The Dream Fairy Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE CGHG IJKJ LMNM

A little fairy comes at nightA
Her eyes are blue her hair is brownB
with silver spots upon her wingsC
And from the moon she flutters downB
-
She has a little silver wandD
And when a good child goes to bedE
She waves her wand from right to leftF
And makes a circle round her headE
-
And then it dreams of pleasant thingsC
Of fountains filled with fairy fishG
And trees that bear delicious fruitH
And bow their branches at a wishG
-
Of arbours filled with dainty scentsI
From lovely flowers that never fadeJ
Bright flies that flitter in the sunK
And glow worms shining in the shadeJ
-
And talking birds with gifted tonguesL
For singing songs and telling talesM
And pretty dwarfs to show the wayN
Through the fairy hills and fairy dalesM
