Farewell, Life! My Senses Swim Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDD EEFFGGHH

Farewell Life My senses swimA
And the world is growing dimA
Thronging shadows cloud the lightB
Like the advent of the nightB
Colder colder colder stillC
Upward steals a vapor chillC
Strong the earthy odor growsD
I smell the mould above the roseD
-
Welcome Life the Spirit strivesE
Strength returns and hope revivesE
Cloudy fears and shapes forlornF
Fly like shadows at the mornF
O'er the earth there comes a bloomG
Sunny light for sullen gloomG
Warm perfume for vapor coldH
I smell the rose above the mouldH
