Allegory Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBBBBBCBCBC

I had a gig horse and I called him PleasureA
Because on Sundays for a little jauntB
He was so fast and showy quite a treasureA
Although he sometimes kicked and shied aslantB
I had a chaise and christened it EnjoymentB
With yellow body and the wheels of redB
Because it was only used for one employmentB
Namely to go wherever Pleasure ledB
I had a wife her nickname was DelightB
A son called Frolic who was never stillC
Alas how often dark succeeds to brightB
Delight was thrown and Frolic had a spillC
Enjoyment was upset and shattered quiteB
And Pleasure fell a splitter on Paine's HillC
