She Did Not Turn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBAB ABABBAB

She did not turnA
But passed foot faint with averted headB
In her gown of green by the bobbing fernA
Though I leaned over the gate that ledB
From where we waited with table spreadB
But she did not turnA
Why was she near there if love had fledB
-
She did not turnA
Though the gate was whence I had often spedB
In the mists of morning to meet her and learnA
Her heart when its moving moods I readB
As a book she mine as she sometimes saidB
But she did not turnA
And passed foot faint with averted headB
