Display Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GFHF IJBJ KLJL MNON HPQP

Deep planted in the heart of manA
Wherever you may goB
Display hath fertile seeds which sproutC
And daily larger growB
-
As oftentimes in happy soilD
A lofty tree may riseE
And 'neath its gloomy blighting shadeF
A sprout fair tender diesE
-
One lovely sprout yes more than oneG
Droops dies beneath the shadeF
And where might be a garden plotH
A tangl'd waste is madeF
-
Ill favor'd weeds and poison'd fruitI
In rank luxuriance reignJ
And virtuous plants may strive to growB
But strive to grow in vainJ
-
Oh man why in thy foolish heartK
Should one seed grow so wellL
That naught but chaos there should reignJ
'Mid poison plants of hellL
-
Oh man immortal in thy soulM
Thou dost possess a willN
Then why not prune these noxious sproutsO
With firm and steady skillN
-
If thou would'st make thy heart a plotH
Trimm'd bright and pure and cleanP
Oh let no tree o'erpow'r the restQ
Or rank o'ergrowth be seenP
