Land, Ho! Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAA ACCAA ADDAA AEEAA AFGAA AHHAA AIIAA

I know tis but a loom of landA
Yet is it land and so I will rejoiceB
I know I cannot hear His voiceB
Upon the shore nor see Him standA
Yet is it land ho landA
-
The land the land the lovely landA
Far off dost say Far off ah bless d homeC
Farewell farewell thou salt sea foamC
Ah keel upon the silver sandA
Land ho landA
-
You cannot see the land my landA
You cannot see and yet the land is thereD
My land my land through murky airD
I did not say twas close at handA
But land ho landA
-
Dost hear the bells of my sweet landA
Dost hear the kine dost hear the merry birdsE
No voice tis true no spoken wordsE
No tongue that thou may st understandA
Yet is it land ho landA
-
It s clad in purple mist my landA
In regal robe it is apparell dF
A crown is set upon its headG
And on its breast a golden bandA
Land ho landA
-
Dost wonder that I long for landA
My land is not a land as others areH
Upon its crest there beams a starH
And lilies grow upon the strandA
Land ho landA
-
Give me the helm there is the landA
Ha lusty mariners she takes the breezeI
And what my spirit sees it seesI
Leap bark as leaps the thunderbrandA
Land ho landA
