Dora Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCDDEEFFGG

She knelt upon her brother's graveA
My little girl of six years oldB
He used to be so good and braveA
The sweetest lamb of all our foldB
He used to shout he used to singC
Of all our tribe the little kingC
And so unto the turf her ear she laidD
To hark if still in that dark place he play'dD
No sound no soundE
Death's silence was profoundE
And horror creptF
Into her aching heart and Dora weptF
If this is as it ought to beG
My God I leave it unto TheeG
