Cast Away Care Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAA CCDDE FFGGE

Cast away care he that loves sorrowA
Lengthens not a day nor can buy to morrowA
Money is trash and he that will spend itB
Let him drink merrily fortune will send itB
Merrily merrily merrily oh hoA
Play it off stiffly we may not part soA
-
Wine is a charm it heats the blood tooC
Cowards it will arm if the wine be good tooC
Quickens the wit and makes the back ableD
Scorns to submit to the watch or constableD
Merrily cE
-
Pots fly about give us more liquorF
Brothers of a rout our brains will flow quickerF
Empty the cask score up we care notG
Fill all the pots again drink on and spare notG
Merrily cE
