Epitaph On Henry Martyn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEE

Here Martyn lies In Manhood's early bloomA
The Christian Hero finds a Pagan tombA
Religion sorrowing o'er her favourite sonB
Points to the glorious trophies that he wonB
Eternal trophies not with carnage redC
Not stained with tears by hapless captives shedC
But trophies of the Cross for that dear nameD
Through every form of danger death and shameD
Onward he journeyed to a happier shoreE
Where danger death and shame assault no moreE
