Epitaph On A Jacobite Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGHHIJ

To my true king I offered free from stainA
Courage and faith vain faith and courage vainA
For him I threw lands honours wealth awayB
And one dear hope that was more prized than theyB
For him I languished in a foreign climeC
Grey haired with sorrow in my manhood's primeC
Heard on Lavernia Scargill's whispering treesD
And pined by Arno for my lovelier TeesD
Beheld each night my home in fevered sleepE
Each morning started from the dream to weepE
Till God who saw me tried too sorely gaveF
The resting place I asked an early graveF
Oh thou whom chance leads to this nameless stoneG
From that proud country which was once mine ownG
By those white cliffs I never more must seeH
By that dear language which I spake like theeH
Forget all feuds and shed one English tearI
O'er English dust A broken heart lies hereJ
